Since leaving the Royal Marines he has worked in a number of senior board positions with blue chip companies within the banking and finance sector. Primarily in Sales and Marketing but also in Training and Operations. Additionally he successfully ran his own management consultancy before retiring into the property and investment arena.
His involvement in working for the local community is widespread and as well as his duties as a Ward Councillor he also serves as a School Governor and as a Magistrate. Ron is married to Brenda and they have three daughters, Yvonne, Kerry and Melanie and in his spare time he enjoys reading, most sports, but his first loves are Blackpool FC and his membership of the Royal Marines Association.

Ron Bell's Experience

Ron has been a member and supporter of the Conservative Party for many years but only became actively involved in the last ten years after seeing the downward spiral that his beloved home town of Blackpool was in under a Labour administration. In May 2007 he was elected along with his brother Gary as a Councillor on the Town Centre Talbot Ward. Ron believes that the most important role of an MP is to represent their constituents by working hard to resolve local problems while representing their national views in Westminster
